Bikini Regatta

Last Saturday we held our annual Bikini Regatta . Crews are made up of either all woman, or a 50/50 split, with a female at the helm. Polish Navy, sailing for the Navy Yacht Club, was entered in the "All Female," spinnaker class and finished second overall. Fifteen boats registered to race. It doesn't sound like a lot of boats but, given that the sailing community is still recovering from hurricanes Ivan and Dennis, it was a great turnout. The weather delayed the start for about an hour, and shortly after start the wind died for about 20 minutes. But, the wind did pick up and it was a great race - and it was another great day on the water.
