Photo Friday - The Street

One of the interesting things about Europe is how old everything is, and how compact things are within older parts of cities. You better learn to like your neighbors. You can't get away from the folks next door, the buildings are connected. If they aren't connect there's only narrow passages between them.
This narrow street, lined by many old apartment buildings, is in Heidelberg Germany. The street is barely wide enough for one car and I didn't see any "One Way" signs.

First Attempt at HDR Photography

Pretty cool, huh?
I've seen many High Dynamic Range (HDR) photos lately and wondered how difficult the process is. It's not! This photo was taken at Barrancas beach at Naval Air Station Pensacola. I used a trial version of Photomatix software, thus the watermark. I think I'll explore this technique some more.

Photo Friday - Crooked

The Gulf Coast is loaded with Blue Herons, they are everywhere. This one, probably keeping an eye out for dinner, has found a perch among the "crooked" branches of a dead tree overlooking the shoreline along the intercoastal water way.
